My guest today has, in the words of Joni Mitchell, looked at life from both sides now. Smart and accomplished, he became a doctor, driven by family, friends, and the chance to help people. But then life took a turn: addiction, loss of credentials, and a life that became quite hard. He could have left it there, but he didn’t. He overcame his troubles, became recertified, and today helps others who have stumbled on the path of life.
